Sunday brunch

The weather’s been in one of its moods this past week. Just a couple days ago it was +16 degrees celsius here in Winnipeg. Then it snowed the next day…. today it’s a bit chilly but at least sunny. But tomorrow the weather calls for 5-10mm of snow! Make up your mind, Mother Nature. We’re done with winter and ready for spring!

Like I said, today it’s chilly but nonetheless still a beautiful day. We were pooped in the house all day Saturday because of the snow, so we took advantage of the sun today and went for brunch at one of my favourite local spots. Winnipeg may not have Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles but the chicken and waffles at The Tallest Poppy are probably just as good, if not better! Their boneless chicken are crispy on the outside but so tender and juicy once you take a bite.

Say hi, BFF!

Joy’s Tea has been open for a while now but today was our first visit there. Now, as you can maybe tell – I’m more of a coffee (latte) kind of gal. But every now and then, I do appreciate a nice cup of tea. The tea shop itself had such a  clean and chic vibe – totally Instagram worthy.

I ate all the macarons by the time we took this photo
