What’s new?
We have our ultrasound on Friday and we find out this weekend if baby Cadiz is a boy or girl! The BFF and my sister are organizing a gender reveal for us, family and friends and we are super excited!
I think it’s fair to say that the two things that I’m best at are shopping and tidying 💁 It’s Canada’s Thanksgiving weekend and between seeing family and having Thanksgiving dinners, what else did I do this long weekend? Shop and tidy, duh!
I went shopping at Michaels to just pick up organizational containers, but what do you know.. I left the store with five other things. Surprise, surprise – I have a weak spot for Michaels. But who doesn’t love home decor pieces and cute stickers?! and ON SALE!
I got the acrylic containers from Home Sense the same day.
I just recently downloaded the Michael’s app which makes it much easier to look up coupons. Before I’d just use my phone to visit the Michael’s website to retrieve coupons but it always took too long to load. Now, the deals just pop up as soon as you open the app!
After coming home with my purchases, I immediately looked over at our desk where I’d be storing the stickers and washi tape – good grief, it was a mess.
Obviously, it was time to get tidying. I like to pull out everything from the drawers so they’re in plain site and then organize by item; stickers get stacked on top of each other, pens and highlighters get clumped together, receipts I need to save stay in a pile, etc – while still keeping mine and Chris’ things separate. I typically know what he needs to keep and what goes with what but I leave the “throwing out” part to him. Can’t find something? It’s got to be around somewhere cause I didn’t throw it out!
For the longest time, I’ve been nagging Chris to let me move our desk against the wall – when he finally said okay I got him to sign a sticky note stating “On Sept 14 2017 @ 12:32pm, Chris said Alyssa can move the desk against the wall.” 😌 I rediscovered the sticky note and during my tidying, *TAADAAA* I moved the desk and I’m loving it’s new spot. The living room looks more spacious and clean! And I think Chris secretly likes it too 😉
