Eyelash extensions

I just got home from a lash extensions refill appointment and they’re looking preeeeeeetty good!

Everyone has something about themselves they would like to have changed. It could be body shape, nose, chest size.. just to name a few. For me? Eye lashes.

Naturally, I’ve been blessed with very short and straight lashes. I’m sure almost every Asian can feel my pain.

So, why of all things do my eye lashes bother me?

Because growing up in this adult life, I’ve learned that eye contact is everything. In the work field you’ll have job interviews, meetings with your boss or clients. And in the dating game, scoring the first few dates with the same person requires connection.  Whatever the case may be, holding that gaze just shows interest and confidence – so why not have pretty lashes to go along with it?

I’ve always been about wearing falsies while going out for dinner, dates, events. But what about for work? I’m always on the go and wearing false lashes as a Dental Assistant in a dental office isn’t exactly the best idea.

So I decided to try lash extensions and have gone to a few different technicians. Luckily I found one who does a great job and whose lashes don’t fall off the first week!

Flat extensions. D curl 9-13mm.

Here are some key tips regarding lash extensions:

  • Find someone you like. Do your research, stalk their social media and see if they’re right for you.
  • Be committed. If you decide to get extensions, be prepared for 2-4 week refill appointments.
  • Take care of them – keep them clean and brush them out twice a day. Also, you’ll need to sleep on your back or side so you don’t contort your lashes.
  • If you wear eye glasses, be mindful of what type of lashes you decide to get. You’ll be annoyed if the lashes end up too long and scrape against the lens.

That’s all for now! <3
