Okay, so I know spring was technically a couple months ago. But it’s only starting to get warmer now. You know what that means – time to switch up the wardrobe and say goodbye to heavy knits, Ugg boots and Canada Goose jackets!
I’m always particular with what I keep in my closet – once the seasons change, anything that doesn’t belong gets tossed into a bin and kept in storage. Why would I keep eight chunky sweaters in the closet, only to just take up space? To me, the less I can keep hanging up, the better! So, this weekend I did a bit of “spring cleaning.”
As much as I adore layering pieces and all things knit, I was happy to brighten and lighten up my closet. I hope I’m not the only one who takes pleasure in a fresh and organized closet.
If you have a closet full of essential basics, it’s easy to mix and match items for a perfect spring outfit. Read on to see what some of my favourite Spring basics are.
Lightweight jacket: Whether it be a classic military jacket, denim or faux leather, a light jacket is necessary for those chilly mornings and nights.
T-shirt: Soft and relaxed tees are my fave! They’re flattering and easy to pair with anything. Casual effortless look = a tee, denim jeans and trainers. Polished but casual = a tee, dressy joggers, faux leather jacket (my lazy go to).
Flats: Basic black, colour block, or printed. I hate socks so I’ll gladly wear flats when it’s a tad chilly.
That’s all for now!
xoxo,
Alyssa
